Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient medication records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA, FDA, and pharmacy board regulations
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software efficiently
- Collaborate with healthcare team to optimize medication therapy outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Indiana Pharmacy Technician license (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Prior pharmacy or healthcare experience preferred (new graduates welcome)
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions
- Exceptional attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask in fast-paced settings
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
