Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and stock rotation for optimal efficiency
- Process insurance claims and maintain precise patient records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Assist with compounding sterile and non-sterile preparations
- Maintain compliance with all pharmacy regulations and HIPAA standards
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Active New Mexico Pharmacy Technician license or eligibility
- Prior experience in retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy software and inventory management systems
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Certification through PTCB or ExCPT highly desirable
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and drug interactions
