Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately while verifying dosages and interactions
- Assist pharmacists in preparing sterile compounds and IV medications
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and verify patient eligibility efficiently
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records and documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license
- PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of DEA regulations and medication safety protocols
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent required
