Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for patients accurately and efficiently.
- Verify prescriptions for completeness and accuracy, ensuring strict compliance with state and federal laws.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist pharmacists with the dispensing process and answer patient inquiries regarding medications.
- Maintain accurate records of medications dispensed and patient interactions.
- Adhere to strict HIPAA regulations and confidentiality protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTC) or registration as required by the state of Arizona.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with pharmacy software.
