Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Process insurance claims and manage patient billing systems
- Maintain pharmacy inventory with automated reorder systems
- Provide medication counseling and OTC product recommendations
- Operate automated dispensing equipment and pharmacy software
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all patient record handling
- Collaborate with healthcare team on patient care coordination
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician license required
- PTCB certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Minimum 1 year retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications and interactions
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25 lbs
