Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications accurately according to doctor's orders and safety protocols.
- Verify patient information and insurance details to ensure proper billing and processing.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and organizing pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist pharmacists in compounding medications and preparing intravenous (IV) solutions when required.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions about medications and assisting patients with the pharmacy system.
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding patient privacy and data security.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional math skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen prior to employment.
