As a Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in our diagnostic process by collecting high-quality blood samples while ensuring the utmost comfort and safety of our patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary draws with high accuracy and minimal patient discomfort.
- Label, log, and transport blood samples to the laboratory for processing in compliance with strict protocols.
- Explain procedures to patients to ensure compliance and reduce anxiety.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control standards, OSHA guidelines, and safety procedures.
- Manage inventory of blood collection supplies and ensure equipment is sanitized and functional.
- Collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure timely specimen collection.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification required.
- Active North Carolina Phlebotomy license.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume medical environment.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use EMR systems.
