Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary draws with precision and minimal patient discomfort.
- Verify patient identification and accurately prepare medical records for all procedures.
- Maintain strict adherence to all OSHA safety and sanitation protocols.
- Process, label, and store blood specimens properly for laboratory analysis.
- Communicate effectively with patients to alleviate anxiety and answer questions.
- Collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification (e.g., ASCP, NHA).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
