Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections following strict protocols
- Process and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing
- Maintain inventory of phlebotomy supplies and equipment
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and CLIA regulations
- Provide patient education and comfort during procedures
- Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize patient flow
- Document all procedures in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Current Texas Phlebotomy Technician certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in specimen handling and processing
- CPR certification required
- Attention to detail with high accuracy standards
