Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, sterile fields, and surgical instruments according to protocol
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to strict aseptic techniques
- Handle and sterilize surgical equipment with precision
- Document surgical cases accurately and maintain inventory logs
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless surgical workflow
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 1 year recent OR experience in general surgery
- BLS/CPR certification and current state licensure
- Proficiency in sterile processing and instrument handling
- Ability to work in fast-paced surgical environments
