Responsibilities
- Perform routine venipunctures and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages with precision and minimal discomfort.
- Properly label, process, and transport blood specimens to the laboratory ensuring strict chain of custody.
- Greet patients, verify identity, and explain procedures to ensure a comfortable and compliant experience.
- Maintain a clean and sterile environment, adhering to all OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
- Manage patient intake data and update electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
- Collaborate with nurses and physicians to facilitate efficient patient flow.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent state license required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical phlebotomy experience.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and potential travel between sites.
