Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collection using provided equipment
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA protocols
- Maintain sterile workstations and equipment per OSHA guidelines
- Verify patient identities and prepare samples for laboratory testing
- Document procedures accurately in our digital health records system
- Train new staff on equipment operation and safety protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and lab technicians to ensure sample integrity
Qualifications
- Current Missouri Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in fast-paced environments
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems
- BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
- Exceptional communication and patient rapport skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods with provided ergonomic support
- Experience handling diverse patient populations
- Background check and drug screening clearance
