Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages with precision and a gentle touch.
- Greet patients warmly, verify identity, and explain the phlebotomy procedure to reduce anxiety.
- Collect, label, and properly store blood specimens to ensure accuracy in laboratory testing.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized workspace in compliance with safety protocols.
- Accurately document patient information and test results into the electronic medical record system.
- Assist the nursing and medical staff with various clinical tasks during patient visits.
- Handle patient inquiries regarding test results and appointment scheduling professionally.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Valid Phlebotomy Certification (or willingness to obtain one through our training program).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light objects (up to 25 lbs).
- Basic computer proficiency and attention to detail.
- A valid California driver's license and reliable transportation is a plus.
