Responsibilities

  • Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages, following strict aseptic techniques.
  • Prepare and process blood samples, urine, and other specimens accurately for laboratory analysis.
  • Greet patients, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety during the draw process.
  • Maintain and sterilize phlebotomy equipment and workstations in compliance with OSHA and CLIA regulations.
