Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary punctures on patients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during the blood collection process.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and laboratory safety protocols.
- Accurately label, process, and deliver specimens to the laboratory.
- Manage inventory of phlebotomy supplies and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, nurses, and physicians.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
