Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws accurately and efficiently.
- Greet patients, explain procedures, and ensure a comfortable experience during collection.
- Label, process, and store blood specimens according to strict laboratory protocols.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Adhere to all safety and infection control guidelines, including OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
- Clean, sterilize, and maintain phlebotomy equipment and workstations.
- Assist with blood drives and mobile unit operations as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Willingness to complete the provided paid training program.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
- Basic computer literacy and data entry proficiency.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid driver’s license (preferred for travel to satellite clinics).
