Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures following OSHA and CLIA standards
- Process and label specimens accurately with meticulous attention to detail
- Verify patient identification and maintain complete electronic health records
- Prepare and maintain sterile equipment and collection supplies
- Provide patient education on pre-test preparation and post-procedure care
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional service
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and facility-specific protocols
Qualifications
- Current Arizona Phlebotomy Technician certification or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of clinical phlebotomy experience
- BLS/CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain)
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse patient populations
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Valid Arizona driver's license and reliable transportation
- Background check and drug screening clearance
