Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary draws, and specialized blood collections
- Process, label, and transport specimens to laboratory departments
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA regulations
- Operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
- Provide patient education and comfort during procedures
- Collaborate with clinical staff to optimize workflow
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques and specimen handling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic preferred)
- Arizona Department of Health Services registration
