Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws across diverse patient demographics
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA and CLIA protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and specimen tracking systems
- Calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and infection control protocols
- Provide patient education on pre-test preparation procedures
- Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize workflow efficiency
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in fast-paced environment
- Valid Arizona state healthcare provider license
- BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
- Proficiency in LIS systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Exceptional venipuncture skills across challenging patient cases
- Strong attention to detail and specimen integrity protocols
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
