Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection following strict protocols
- Process and transport specimens accurately to laboratory departments
- Maintain sterile equipment and work environments per OSHA guidelines
- Verify patient identification and prepare specimens for testing
- Document procedures using electronic health record systems
- Provide patient education during blood draw procedures
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical phlebotomy experience
- Valid CPR certification
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and specimen handling
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
