Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws following strict aseptic techniques
- Process and label specimens with meticulous attention to detail
- Maintain accurate patient records and electronic documentation
- Operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment including centrifuges and analyzers
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA regulations
- Provide exceptional patient communication and care during procedures
- Collaborate with medical staff to optimize specimen collection workflows
Qualifications
- Current Alaska Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or equivalent
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Exceptional interpersonal and patient communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
