Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures with precision and patient comfort
- Process and label specimens according to CLIA and HIPAA standards
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in electronic health systems
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and transportation of biological specimens
- Assist with patient preparation and provide clear instructions for pre-test requirements
- Collaborate with clinical teams to support seamless patient workflows
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and equipment calibration
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) credential required
- Minimum 1 year of clinical phlebotomy experience in a healthcare setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Excellent venipuncture skills with pediatric and geriatric populations
- Strong attention to detail and specimen handling protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Valid Minnesota phlebotomy license
