Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection following strict protocols
- Process and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing
- Maintain sterile equipment and verify patient identification
- Document procedures and maintain electronic health records
- Assist in inventory management of medical supplies
- Provide patient education during collection procedures
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and infection control
