Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary puncture, and microcollection procedures with precision
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA and CLIA standards
- Operate automated laboratory equipment and maintain accurate documentation
- Provide exceptional patient care with focus on comfort and anxiety reduction
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient workflow and sample integrity
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT or Phlebotomy I/II)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced setting
- BLS/CPR certification from an accredited provider
- Proficiency in specimen handling and processing protocols
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent required
