Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws across diverse patient demographics
- Process and label specimens with strict adherence to HIPAA and OSHA protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and specimen tracking systems
- Provide patient education on pre-test preparation procedures
- Calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
- Collaborate with medical staff to optimize patient flow and efficiency
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or Phlebotomy Technician (PBT)
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in LIS/HIS systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments with multitasking expertise
- Valid Virginia driver's license for mobile phlebotomy duties
