Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood draws following strict protocols
- Label and process specimens for laboratory testing with meticulous attention to detail
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during blood collection procedures
- Maintain sterile equipment and organized workstations
- Document patient information and test results accurately in electronic health records
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and infection control standards
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior phlebotomy experience necessary - training provided!
- CPR certification (will be provided if not already certified)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions
- Strong communication skills and compassion for diverse patient populations
- Basic computer literacy for documentation systems
- Willingness to complete company-sponsored phlebotomy training program
- Clean background check and drug screening required
