Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and minimal patient discomfort
- Process and label specimens according to CLIA and HIPAA guidelines
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure proper specimen handling, storage, and transportation
- Operate laboratory equipment and troubleshoot basic issues
- Provide patient education on pre-test preparation procedures
- Collaborate with clinical team to optimize workflow efficiency
Qualifications
- Current Oklahoma Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASPT or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Proficiency in venipuncture techniques for diverse patient populations
- Strong attention to detail and specimen handling protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
