Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary draws, and specialized blood collection procedures
- Process and label specimens accurately following CLIA and OSHA standards
- Verify patient identity and maintain detailed electronic health records
- Calibrate and maintain phlebotomy equipment
- Train new staff on collection protocols and safety procedures
- Collaborate with lab and clinical teams for seamless patient workflows
Qualifications
- Current ASCP or AMT Phlebotomy Certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- BLS/CPR certification
- Proficient in LIS and EMR systems
- Exceptional venipuncture skills with minimal patient discomfort
- Strong communication and empathy for diverse patient populations
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume settings
