Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture, capillary punctures, and specimen collection following established protocols
- Ensure proper handling, labeling, and processing of biological specimens
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety procedures
- Provide exceptional patient care and comfort during procedures
- Utilize LIS systems for specimen tracking and documentation
- Collaborate with healthcare team to optimize patient flow
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in electronic health records and specimen tracking systems
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
