Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures with precision and minimal patient discomfort
- Process and label specimens according to CLIA and CAP standards
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations
- Train and mentor new phlebotomy staff on best practices
- Collaborate with laboratory and clinical teams to optimize workflow
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT1 or CPT2)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical phlebotomy experience
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or equivalent
- Proficiency in LIS data entry and specimen tracking systems
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment
