Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collections using established protocols
- Process and label specimens with meticulous attention to detail
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to OSHA bloodborne pathogen standards
- Provide exceptional patient care during stressful procedures
- Operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
- Document patient information and test results in EHR systems
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure timely sample processing
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT or CPT1)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency with EHR systems
