Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and minimal patient discomfort
- Label, process, and transport specimens according to strict laboratory protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in electronic health systems
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA regulations
- Provide exceptional patient communication and support during procedures
- Calibrate and maintain phlebotomy equipment and supplies
- Collaborate with lab teams to resolve specimen collection issues
Qualifications
- Active Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical phlebotomy experience
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in venipuncture techniques and capillary punctures
- Strong attention to detail and specimen handling accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal skills for patient interaction
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
