Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures
- Process and handle specimens according to CLIA standards
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure proper specimen labeling and transport protocols
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
- Provide patient education and comfort during procedures
- Adhere to OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- Current Michigan Phlebotomy Technician certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience with LIS systems preferred
