Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections with precision and patient comfort
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA and OSHA guidelines
- Verify patient identity and maintain accurate medical records
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including centrifuges and analyzers
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure timely specimen processing
- Provide patient education on pre-test preparations
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, AMT, or NCCT)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems and specimen tracking software
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse populations
