Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary puncture, and micro-collection procedures
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA protocols
- Operate automated analyzers and maintain equipment calibration
- Provide patient education and comfort during blood draws
- Collaborate with lab staff to ensure timely test results
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, AMT, or NCCT)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Valid Texas driver's license (if required for mobile services)
