The successful candidate will perform a variety of duties to support our diagnostic operations:

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine venipunctures and capillary blood draws with precision and minimal patient discomfort.
  • Verify patient identity and explain procedures clearly to ensure patient comfort and cooperation.
  • Label, process, and transport blood specimens to the central laboratory following strict chain-of-custody protocols.
  • Maintain a sterile, clean, and organized work environment; sterilize and sanitize equipment daily.
  • Assist with point-of-care testing (POCT) and patient intake processes as needed.
  • Document all collection data accurately and efficiently in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, infection control policies, and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification required (or equivalent eligibility).
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • 1-2 years of previous phlebotomy experience preferred but not mandatory for high-performing candidates.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
