Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and minimal patient discomfort
- Process and label specimens according to CLIA and HIPAA standards
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in electronic health systems
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and transportation of biological samples
- Collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare providers for seamless patient care
- Adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols
- Provide exceptional patient education during blood collection procedures
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASPT, NCCT, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in venipuncture or blood collection
- Valid CPR certification
- Proficiency in LIS/HIS systems and specimen processing software
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume clinical environments
