Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chairside during examinations, treatments, and surgeries with precision and efficiency.
- Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring sterilized instruments and materials are available.
- Take and develop digital X-rays as directed by the dentist.
- Manage patient records, update charts, and verify insurance information accurately.
- Educate patients on post-operative care, oral hygiene, and treatment plans.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and OSHA standards.
- Monitor patient comfort and well-being throughout the appointment.
Qualifications
- Current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) or DANB Certified Dental Assistant certification.
- Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification for Healthcare Providers.
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, terminology, and sterilization techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, patient demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid California Dental Assistant license.
- Previous experience in a general dentistry or specialty practice is preferred.
