Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections using provided equipment
- Process and label specimens according to established protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of biohazard materials
- Collaborate with healthcare teams for efficient patient flow
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and infection control standards
- Train on new equipment and procedures as needed
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- Valid Oklahoma phlebotomy license
- Excellent venipuncture skills on diverse patient populations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
