Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections using provided advanced equipment
- Operate and maintain automated blood collection systems, centrifuges, and digital recorders
- Ensure all samples are properly labeled, processed, and transported using provided safety kits
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols with supplied PPE and sanitization tools
- Utilize provided digital record-keeping systems for accurate patient documentation
- Train on new phlebotomy technologies as equipment is upgraded
- Collaborate with medical teams using provided communication devices
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT or PBT)
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Ability to operate blood collection equipment (provided on-site)
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Excellent venipuncture skills with minimal callbacks
- Strong attention to detail and patient comfort focus
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings
