Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections using provided equipment
- Process and transport specimens to lab facilities
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control protocols
- Verify patient identification and document procedures accurately
- Operate centrifuges and analyzers with provided tools
- Train on new phlebotomy technologies and equipment
- Assist with inventory management of supplied materials
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NCCT, or equivalent)
- 1+ years clinical experience in phlebotomy
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent venipuncture skills with minimal discomfort to patients
- Ability to work independently with provided equipment
- Basic computer skills for documentation systems
- Nebraska state phlebotomy license (or ability to obtain)
- Reliable transportation for specimen transport
