Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and minimal patient discomfort
- Process and prepare specimens for laboratory testing following strict protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records using our electronic health record system
- Ensure all equipment is properly sanitized and maintained according to OSHA standards
- Provide exceptional patient care while explaining procedures and addressing concerns
- Collaborate with nursing staff and laboratory teams to ensure seamless workflow
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement projects
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital or lab setting
- Valid CPR certification
- Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems
- High school diploma or equivalent required
