Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end medical billing processes for diverse patient populations
- Optimize revenue cycle through precise coding (ICD-10, CPT) and claim submission
- Resolve complex billing discrepancies through direct payer negotiations
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain accurate patient financial records
- Analyze denial trends and implement corrective actions for claim resubmission
- Train junior billing staff on best practices and regulatory updates
- Collaborate with clinical departments to document services accurately
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Expert knowledge of CMS guidelines and commercial insurance protocols
- Proficiency in Epic, Cerner, or similar EHR/billing systems
- Demonstrated success in reducing claim denials below industry average
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial detail
