Responsibilities
- Perform accurate blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques
- Process and transport specimens to laboratory facilities with chain-of-custody protocols
- Maintain sterile equipment and calibration of diagnostic tools
- Document patient data in EHR systems with HIPAA compliance
- Train on new equipment including digital phlebotomy systems
- Collaborate with RNs and lab technicians for integrated care
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT or PBT)
- 1+ years clinical experience with blood draw proficiency
- OSHA and CLIA compliance knowledge
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Ability to work with provided equipment (no personal tools needed)
- Strong communication skills for patient education
- Pass background check and drug screening
