Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws using provided advanced equipment
- Process and label specimens with precision using automated systems
- Maintain sterile collection environments and equipment calibration
- Document patient data accurately in electronic health records
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and CLIA regulations
- Provide exceptional patient care during collection procedures
- Collaborate with lab teams for efficient specimen processing
Qualifications
- Current Louisiana Phlebotomy Technician certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- Proficiency with digital collection systems and centrifuges
- Excellent venipuncture and pediatric drawing skills
- Strong knowledge of specimen handling protocols
- CPR certification (BLS required)
- Ability to work efficiently with provided equipment
- Exceptional communication and patient interaction skills
