Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and patient comfort
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA and CLIA standards
- Maintain and sterilize provided phlebotomy equipment daily
- Document patient data accurately in our EMR system
- Assist with patient education during blood collection procedures
- Collaborate with lab teams for efficient sample processing
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Current Hawaii Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
- Proficiency in handling evacuated tube systems and microtainers
- Excellent venipuncture skills for diverse patient populations
- Strong attention to detail in specimen handling documentation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical environment
- Valid Hawaii driver's license for mobile services (if applicable)
