Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collections using provided equipment
- Process and label specimens per HIPAA and CLIA compliance standards
- Maintain sterile workstations and equipment calibration logs
- Provide exceptional patient care during blood draw procedures
- Collaborate with lab staff for specimen transport and tracking
- Document procedures in electronic health records (EHR)
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols for biohazard handling
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems and specimen tracking
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license for mobile site coverage
