Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary draws on patients of all ages with precision and care.
- Maintain and organize laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring everything is sanitized and ready for use.
- Collect blood samples and prepare them for transport to the laboratory for analysis.
- Interact professionally with patients to ensure a comfortable and stress-free experience.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
- Assist with inventory management of phlebotomy supplies and testing kits.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification or equivalent.
- Active and unencumbered RN, LPN, or Medical Assistant license (if applicable).
- Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, specifically related to venipuncture.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-first attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
