Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections using provided premium equipment
- Process and label specimens per HIPAA protocols
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures
- Maintain accurate electronic health records
- Collaborate with lab staff for sample processing
- Adhere to OSHA and CLIA compliance standards
- Train on new equipment technologies
Qualifications
- Current New York Phlebotomy Technician certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficient in specimen handling protocols
- Exceptional patient communication skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts (early mornings/weekends)
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
- Valid NY state driver's license
