Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures
- Process and transport specimens to laboratory
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and CLIA regulations
- Provide patient education and comfort during procedures
- Calibrate and maintain phlebotomy equipment
- Collaborate with healthcare team for patient care coordination
Qualifications
- Current Alaska Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- BLS/CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends
- Attention to detail and accuracy in specimen handling
- Proficient in electronic health record systems
